Since 1981, all the employees under the wing of IntraGreens have been able to depend on the company to provide all the Social Benefits which are required by Costa Rica law.  This has not been easy!  The Social requirements of Costa Rica are an additional 46% of a workers' wage.  Not one fine or interest charges has ever been levied to IntraGreens for lack of timely payment of any of these benefits, of which few Costa Rican companies can boast, and that we are very proud.  In 2008, the employees, together with the company formed an 'Asociación Solidarista', a unique Costa Rican entity which helps the workers with savings and loans, and guarantees their severance pay.  Our spray crews, cutters and packers all have access to protective gear, and the company maintains a Safety Council comprised of management and employees.
