These prehistoric plants are grown in the northern plains of Costa Rica from fresh imported seed. Although known as a slow grower, IntraGreens does its best to limit the time the nurseryman must maintain them in their greenhouses by pre-rooting them. Europe is allowed to receive our standard 11/12cm bulbs already totally rooted in its Dutch pot. However, the USA, must import the bulbs with only root initiation. Therefore, the European shipments are made in wooden crates, while the USA imports 20 pieces in a banana box. (Please refer to the photos) Larger sizes are available on a limited basis, and within a few more years, we will offer large sizes with more regularity.
